What our experts think
This simple toy is great for teaching children about cause and effect. This helps your child to develop early communication and cognition skills, by understanding that behaviour and actions result in a response. Our older testers worked out what to do with no adult input and were delighted when the teddies spun around; they soon learnt that they could vary the speed by the way in which they applied pressure. This promotes dexterity and strengthens hand and finger muscles, important for developing fine motor skills needed for playing, dressing and eventually, writing.
We liked the way in which the children wanted to share what they had done with adults and other children- one child very competently explained how the toy worked to one of his peers. Our younger testers enjoyed watching the bears spinning and there were lots of smiles and claps! Carers of the children also commented on how quiet and sturdy the toy was.
