What is it
Each player rolls the dice and pulls out the Dragon’s tongue the number thrown. If the Dragon does not bite you grab a coin, but if he does bite you lose a coin. Be the first to grab 3 coins from the snapping Dragon to win the game.
Can you steal the dragons gold coins? Pull the Dragon’s tongue to see if you can grab a gold coin, but beware of his sudden, lunging bite.

What our experts think
Snap dragon is a brightly coloured game that really encourages children to engage in turn-taking and competitive gameplay. Once our testers were able to figure out how to play from the instructions, it was quite an easy, straightforward game to understand.
The children enjoyed winning the coins but enjoyed giving them back if they lost a lot less! This is why games like this are great for understanding winning and losing – they help children to come to terms with the associated feelings and equip them with social and emotional skills needed for working in a team. Some of our testers even enjoyed using their imaginations and making up their own games with the dragon.
