What our experts think
This art lab set is great at combining creativity with scientific exploration, as it encourages children to experiment with colour mixing and introduces them to concepts such as crystal formation. The well-written lab book enabled our testers to work out how to conduct the experiments with minimal adult help, some of our younger testers just needed to be shown how to use the equipment beforehand.
The experiments were fun and engaging and allowed our testers to get creative. Learning this way is great as it gives children space and freedom to explore concepts like cause and effect (e.g. when this colour is added, what is the result?). This encourages them to be innovative and in turn benefits other skills such as problem-solving and logical reasoning.
