What is it
The Taf Toys Play & Kick Car Toy is a coloured play centre especially designed to provide entertainment for baby when travelling in a rear-facing car seat.
Three hanging soft toys provide stimulation for baby to feel and grab, including a jingle bell cloud, a rattling owl and a baby-safe mirror.
Gentle music plays and soft lights twinkle when baby kicks the colourful soft kick pad.
The Play & Kick Car Toy attaches to most car headrests by means of two plastic rings, and the height and angle can be adjusted with Velcro straps.

What our experts think
The Play and Kick Car Toy is a lovely toy for keeping little ones entertained while in a rear facing car seat. It is well designed, easy to use and install, and looks great. Babies seemed very happy being in the car when they had the mat in front of them. They were engaged by the toys and enjoyed reaching for them, or seeing what they could make happen by kicking with their legs – this is great for teaching cause and effect and also getting babies to exercise their arms and legs. The mirror lets babies see their facial expressions, developing emotional awareness, while the music encourages listening skills.
Our testers found that the kick pad was a little too sensitive (it would play without being kicked) and it did at times move out of position. The toy isn’t very solid and can come unattached when baby pulls on the toys, although this was only a problem for some testers.
