What is it
Freddie the Firefly features a soft velour body that’s ideal for cuddling. His layered wings include a peek-a-boo mirror for interactive play and multiple textures, shapes and crinkles that encourage baby to explore. Freddie has a squeaker, clinking rings, tethered ladybug teether and knotted antennae perfect for chewing. He has bright colours on his tummy and high-contrast black and white patterns on his back. The Lamaze clip lets you hook Freddie to strollers, carriers and changing bags to take him along for on-the-go fun.

What our experts think
This Freddie the Firefly toy is bright and full of textures and sounds for baby to explore and enjoy – there are a lot of activities packed into this small toy which is perfect for short attention spans! The mirror and rings were particularly popular with our little testers.
Playing with the different textures encourages curiosity and strengthens hand and finger strength (known as fine motor control). Holding Freddie close to little ones encourages them to reach out and grasp for the toy, improving hand-eye coordination and arm strength. The black and white pattern offers great visual stimulation for younger babies (under 3 months old) as it contrasts well and is easier for their developing vision to see.
