What our experts think

Our testers really enjoyed the concept of this product and set about trying to follow the instructions straight away! They were generally successful but a couple of the steps did prove a little tricky. We liked the fact that there was a video and visual images for the children to follow, which promotes attention and concentration. While playing, the children developed their knowledge and understanding of magnetism and shapes –  important concepts that compliment curriculum learning in science and maths.

We liked the vibrancy of the colours and this really appealed to our testers. Our favourite part of the toy however, was that the children could also ignore the instructions, using their imaginations to make their own creatures. This adds a great creative element to the toy that promotes imaginative play – important for creativity, discovery and storytelling. Our testers loved the fact that this toy used magnetism – it made a nice alternative to tradition construction, and also requires a degree of fine motor control, which improves hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
