What our experts think
Our testers really enjoyed playing with this toy – they really liked the tactile nature of it and also the flexibility to make different models. This opportunity for imaginative play promotes creativity as they complete their own designs, the children really embraced the level of challenge and also liked trying to complete the shapes – particularly the sphere. Toys involving following instructions encourage concentration and attention skills which benefit children’s classroom learning. The fact you could try the challenge without the magnet was a good addition and extended the play, and the magnet itself teaches children about the scientific concept in a fun and active way – complimenting the National Curriculum.
We liked how vibrant and robust the pieces were – it withstood a lot of play from our testers! We did find that the instructions were a little hard to follow and some of our testers found the eyes tricky to manipulate and use. Also, you need to make sure you keep hold of all of the parts as if you lose one, then the whole thing doesn’t work!
