What is it

The Playful Sun Shade attaches to the canopy of any pushchair, pram or car seat via clip attachments.  It features three colourful hanging toys to entertain baby both when the shade is down or stored away.

When the shade is down, it shields baby from over 97% of the suns UVA and UVB rays, and no matter what the suns angle, the cover can be easily adjusted to cover your baby from head to toe (tested to and rated at UPF 50+).

A fold-up mesh window allows parents to see baby without unfastening the shade. The shade comes with a storage pouch so the shade can be rolled up and zipped away when not in use.

What our team of testers said

"It's really easy to use and put away again, I love it!" - Mother of 6 month old

"More interesting to look at than other sun shades." - Mother of 5 month old

Developmental benefits

  • Provides UV protection
  • Hanging toys entertain baby and develop hand eye coordination
  • Folds away for easy storage

What our experts think

The Playful Sun Shade not only provides excellent UV protection, but is aesthetically pleasing; our testers got compliments on it when they were out and about.

It is simple to use, with clips to attach it to the buggy. We love the way the cover folds away into the cute cloud, which stays attached to the buggy for easy access.

The window is a nice feature that allows parents to check on their baby without removing the shade, although we did find this tended to lift if there was a breeze because it isn’t fastened.

Unlike many sun shades this is a light colour, so it doesn’t heat up; the shade also allows air to flow through keeping baby cool. Babies liked playing with the hanging toys too, which keeps them distracted while in the pram and develops hand eye coordination.
