How to Play

Get a box and put a hole in one side large enough for a hand to fit through. Place different objects and materials in the box, one by one, and the person who has their hand in the box has to use the sense of touch to feel the object and work out what it is.

Ideas of objects and materials that can be guessed:

A hairbrush

Sandpaper

Ice cube

A twig

A banana

A ball

A spoon

Children can play together with other friends, promoting turn taking skills or with parents. To increase the competitiveness of the game, a point system could be used. Children will develop language skills in this game  describing the shape, texture, weight, material and size of the object.
