What is it
This simple and engaging memory game requires the player to remember where the monsters are on a series of cards. Initially the player is shown the location of the monsters and then the cards are turned over. At the start there are 4 monsters and 9 cards and the number of monsters and cards gradually increases. If the child fails to remember correctly then one less monster is shown in the next game. At later stages, finding a ‘torch’ gains you a life and ‘hearts’ help you stay in the game and reach the leaderboard. Multiplayer options all the game to be competitive.

What our experts think
This was a really popular game with our little testers who found it fun and engaging. Our experts loved it because it clearly helped the children develop their short term memory and the multi-player feature encouraged the children to play together.
It would be even better if...
We’d like to see a version without third party advert pop-ups and a parent gate in place to avoid children linking out of the app (e.g. to more apps).
We’d love to see the game developed to encourage other skills at later stages as beyond round 10 play value became limited as it was just too hard (for the adults too)!
If your child enjoys this game, consider playing other memory games with packs of cards or ‘spot what’s missing’ on a tray. Or you could encourage their artistic and creative skills by encouraging them to make their own ‘real world’ version of the game from a pack of blank cards and some drawing and colouring.
