What is it
Hungry Clipper is a fun, interactive tutorial that shows how to clean up and clip overgrown fingernails. Perfect for toddlers who might get squeamish about nail clipping, Hungry Clipper lets them practice on a variety of different hands and paws. The friendly Clipper character leads you through the steps needed to prepare your hand for some nail-clipping. Once the hands are clean and free of adornments, the happy Clipper gets to munch away.

What our experts think
This is a great app for preschoolers who are learning about self-care, as it teaches them how to clean their hands and trim their nails. Some children might be nervous about having their nails cut, but Hungry Clipper can help make this less scary – children found the fun, smiley character munching away at the nails quite funny!
It would be even better if...
Our testers had a little trouble initially understanding the aim of the game, but worked it out through trial and error. It also felt a bit repetitive, as there was no ‘end’ to the game.
It’s difficult to tell when the nails have been fully cut, so children thought they had finished and got confused when the game didn’t progress.
