What our experts think
BabyFirst Video is a beautifully engaging app, with bright and simple images to capture the attention of young children. We love how the videos encourage children to interact and perform actions – it was very sweet seeing our testers hide behind their own hands while watching the peekaboo video! The screen locking feature was very good as it meant the screen wasn’t affected when little fingers touched the screen whilst watching a video.
The rhymes and repetition are a really good way to encourage little ones to mimic what they hear, encouraging language development and building vocabulary. They also encourage listening and attention skills.
It would be even better if...
In the free version it would be helpful to have all of the free videos grouped on one page, as children got confused when trying to access content that wasn’t available.
